New Member

Ahh, posting this over a good afternoon curry, does anyone else think that some of the superstore curry meals have too much lemon in? I do...
Anyways.
Yesterday I recruited a promising new member, his name is ^Ankv^ and he shows a lot of potential, little rough round the edges as we discussed but a little training can improve that easily.
I will urge him to post on the forums to introduce himself hopefully today.
This topic is open to anyone else who has recently recruited a new member.
Hope y'all have a good Christmas.

Well hey.
on December 6th, 2011, 5:44 pm
Oh Arrows, how I've missed you so, all the fun times we had, the laughs, the wars, the victories and the celebrations, the golden hours of us.
If it were possible I'd go back in a flash, to a time when we all had more time to do our thing.
Just thought I'd make a post since it seems the forums are slowing down more and more each day.
C'mon guys, take this time to reminisce on the good times we've had, and look ahead to more good times in whatever new paths we traverse and whatever new goals we pursue.
Good to be back.
Enjoy your December.

Recruiting Help.
on February 11th, 2011, 3:03 pm
This is for people looking to join Arrows
If anyone can't find a recruiter for arrows and really needs one bad, just send me or any of the other recruiters a private message so we can either tryout or observe ( My college's wifi is horrible so I will most likely be observing, so if you want a tryout, I would recomend the other recruiters. If I'm home then I can guarantee a tryout). We will most likely respond and help out. My xfire is shaggydog66778. -

Changes. THIS AFFECTS YOU
on February 11th, 2011, 11:07 am
Hello! Primus and I have been up all night making a few changes to the website and the way we do things around here. First of all let me just say that we're not done. I plan on using some time during the weekend to finish what we started. Also, let it be known that recruiting is now ON HOLD as we reorganize the way we recruit.
Now..onto the changes...
Important stuff first:- We now have a CODE OF CONDUCT that all members must understand and agree to abide by. It is ASSUMED that existing members have read, understood and agreed to this code of conduct. If a member is breaking the code of conduct, he or she is going to be warned and possibly kicked out of Arrows.
- We feel that participation in the website should be a must for all members - ESPECIALLY RECRUITERS now that recruiting will require the use of the website once more.
- We also will be requiring all new members to have a microphone/headset.
- We are hoping people will participate in our Mumble server (or whichever voice server we may move to in the future). The information on how to connect to our Mumble voice server is here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=604
- Basically we're seeing a lot of people going off on their own and not taking advantage of the community that Arrows has to offer. While independence is a great thing and we have a lot of independent people in Arrows, we would like to bring the community together. We will be doing this by requiring activity in the website and requiring microphones/headsets. Current members without a microphone or a headset should seriously consider purchasing one. Those who don't have one are greatly missing out on the actual community.
- There is no doubt that in the coming weeks members will be removed from our members list.
The way we are recruiting will go something like this:- The recruit asks to join.
- The recruiter (or member) redirects the recruit to the website and the Join page (accessible through the Join link...clever, I know).
- The recruit reads the well written and concise text (still forthcoming) on the Join page and knows exactly what to do.
- They register on the site and post a tryout request in the new forum: viewforum.php?f=26
- Recruiters either give or withhold a tryout based upon their application.
- Tryout commences.
- Recruiter gets final say.
Onto recruiters:
Recruiters should be the community leaders and role models of Arrows. Primus and I went through the members list and came up with a list of recruiters presently. This list is not final, as we may have forgotten some people...Naruto, are you a recruiter? lol- ^Arcline^
- ^Blade^
- ^cyk^
- ^Minion^
- ^Mist^
- ^Primus^
- ^ShaggyDog^
- ^Yaesu^
Also it should be said that the forums are no longer public. Registered users only have access to that Join forum and until we approve them as Arrows members, they cannot see or use the rest of the forum. It's a private forum now just for Arrows members.
I probably forgot something because it's 5am. And we should probably wait until tomorrow when Primus is sober not so sleepy and actually approves this. -

Voice Server
on February 3rd, 2011, 7:54 am
Hello Arrows! I have a proposal to make. A while ago we had a TeamSpeak server that people occasionally used in BF2. It has since expired. I propose we order a new voice server that will encompass all our divisions. I'd be willing to pay for it since voice servers are cheap.
I want to know if we should go with TeamSpeak (again), Ventrillo or Mumble. I've used all three, and I've determined that Mumble is the fastest, highest voice quality voice communication software that I've ever used. And it's free!
Would people be willing to switch to Mumble? Or are we too comfortable with TeamSpeak? -
